Most of you (all, I believe) have seen one of the featured goodies of BB10: the unlock screen swipe with its sexy progressive rendering of the main page.
As I'm a "normal" BlackBerry user, I have a password set on my (devAlpha) device and I must say I was a bit disappointed: with password enabled, that magic swipe turned out to instant swap to password input black screen ... wasn't very sexy.

But with latest BB10 beta OS, you now have a short transition time (a black screen with a padlock) when swiping up.
These all little details that makes user experience even smoother ... glad to note BB10 team in now into theses.

(hint: do NOT try to slide an image from your folder into the edit section. lol . Looks cool at first but once saved ... you get 1Mb+ of text (base64 png content) to come !)

Thanx superfly! It's a good indication of their progress. These must be the fine detail Thor decided to wait for.

This is good news to me as a password on my BB is a must, and I was really looking forward to that cool lock screen!

My New Years Resolution for 2013? Get a BB10 with the biggest screen available-simple. Aristo? Biggest screen, fastest processor, long life battery and largest memory. Also good range of utility apps so I can make it a really useful device.

The "details" for me are really core attributes: fast web browser, good apps, comprehensive imap support, seamless UI. There are so many idosyncracies in my storm2 it is astounding. Even the PB has too many odd behaviours. Fix the user environment and people will stop their hate on for BB

These are absolutely not details but requirements.

Storm can't even compare to current 99xx, say this is history.
Playbook will be upgraded to BB10 and will benefit of all the "good inside" in a snap.

It's nice to see that RIM keeps hacking away instead of just resting on their laurels.
