BB10 Going to Parliament Hill

The Canadian Press has learned that Research In Motion (TSX:RIM) has sent invitations to a list of select politicians for an event in the nation's capital on Nov. 7.

Designed to drum up excitement on Parliament Hill, RIM will host a walk-through of the new system at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. Politicians will also have a chance to mingle with executives of the company.

I was not invited to attend, however I have registered using the link and everything seems to have been processed.

Do you guys think I will be allowed entrance even though I was not sent a formal invitation but have registered ?

I wished I worked for the Government, so I could attend this event...sadly I'm a lowly sales clerk!!!!!

Could there be a better BB10 launch in 2013 then providing a firm date for the release of the BB10 Touch and Qwerky phone + announcing Canadian Govt. and USA Govt. contracts + announcing Banking NFC partnerships & Telcom carrier partnerships + announcing SKYPE for BB10 + announcing a user friendly BB10 Tutorial site front and center on the RIM site where BB10 users can go with " Ease " and review BB10 user tips and feedbacks. !! Now that will be a launch like no other !!

I registered and received a confirmation number, so I think that I am good to go. It's after work too, so it won't conflict with my work schedule.

The Chateau Laurier is pretty posh. I managed to get invited to a presentation by GWB's Special Advisor, Richard A. Clarke, there a few years ago. It was pretty cool, actually.

I signed up and got a confirmation code.

It says you will need this code for detailed registration at arrivial. which could mean that you will have to explain your position and then you may not qualify to enter.

I work in IT for a gov in the toronto area but its municipal. not sure if I would qualify when I arrive so I'm not risking driving there 5 hours to get shut out. But Its very temping. A free playbook and chance to win a bb10 phone..
