    Default 518 Million Profit!

    We're not going anywhere Apple...

"They are crushing it," Canaccord Adams analyst Peter Misek said. "Not only are they holding up, but it's clear they're gaining market share."

You beat me to this...the companies performance speaks volumes. There's so much growth potential for RIMM (even though they've been around for a while), that the market sees this. The diversification of their hardware surrounded by a similar OS means that they can reach into multiple markets and gain footing beyond just business users. Great Job RIMM....

Closed at $49.09 and already at $60.05 (or 22% increase) in after hours trading (as of 6:30 PM EST...wow.....

And people think the Storm is a failure. Pretty funny

Everybody I know out there is picking one of these things up.

I recently had a buddy of mine tell me that his contract is ending for the phone he has currently and is definitely planning on making the leap to the Storm.

The Storm is a hit among consumers not the suit and tie crowd...yet people on these boards refuse to accept the Storm as a success.

Hopefully on VZW quarter report on the 27th we'll get some official sales numbers

Wanna know why a profit of this level was so unexpected? Because all the experts expected the Storm to be a failure.

This unexpected profit came from the unexpected success of the Storm. Although, it wasn't unexpected to all. I knew this thing was taking off. Almost everyone I know is getting themselves one of these things.

RIM has the sales, but if they want to keep those customers around, they better make sure they up the ante by giving Verizon an even better version of the Storm's OS.
