What to do when FB app wont refresh the stream?

I'm finding my FB app not wanting to refresh at all right now... Is it an issue on the (RIM) server side? I can view FB via web on the BB browser with all the latest posts... But the app itself seems stuck... Any way to force kill it - since I think it's an app that's always running in the background even when not showing in the task switcher... ???

well the log jam seems to finally have unclogged itself... but for a couple hours, stuck... and full signal too... so weird...

luckily, no batt pull needed... this time...

FB shuts down when you close it out. I think the intermittent updating problems stem from the FB servers more than the RIM servers.
