Weird BBM contact
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I didn't see a section for BBM but I might have over looked it, so feel free to move it if need be...
but anyways, last night someone tried to add me to bbm, so this morning when i woke up I declined it because I didn't know them and their user name is like porn and then when i click on it its got a bunch of like arabic writing or something, and almost instantly after I declined it it tried to readd me. I tried one more time and once again almost instantly it readded me.
Is there anyway I can report it or block it from adding me without accepting it? I don't want to accept it incase its some kind of virus or something but I also don't want to leave it there for forever...
so any help and suggestions would be great

If you've already accepted a request, why would you have an option to ignore future requests?
You only need to accept someone once. Accepting them indicates that you want them to be a contact.
Maybe you need to uninstall/re-install BBM to be able to see that option when ignoring a user.
Not like it's needed to repeat the same thing a third time, but...
As stated, when you ignore someone, there is a check mark box option to ignore future requests.

After the contact is added, highlight the contact, press delete and then the checkbox for delete further requests will be displayed.
Edited cause I was rude and made comment that should NEVER have been permitted to be posted.

But I've never accepted it. I refuse to accept.
So, I have to option to delete his request or ignore it. either way. I cannot get the option to come up with ignore future requests and if i do delete then it readds me. if i hit ignore its still in the one thing listed as being there.

The problem that we/I see is that you do not see the “ignore future requests” feature when you try to ignore or decline the request. That is why I have personally stated that there must be something wrong with your installation of BBM. This is a BBM standard that should be presented when ignoring a user and not when adding a contact.
What BBM version are you using? What device/OS? Have you tried a battery pull as of yet?

Re: Weird BBM contact
I am in the dog house.
But, the prompt to ignore future requests is not provided until the contact is added and then deleted. When the contact is deleted, and the check box for ignore future invites is then displayed.
So I stand by comments regarding the process. I apologize for being blunt.

thanks for actually understanding haha.
Uhhhhhhh. I'm not sure which one I'm using for either >< Definitly not the latest versions because I just finally updated my app store. it took me months to do it because I was scared it was going to break my phone like some people were saying when it was asking for uh... idenity update or something like that? I dont remeber, but I updated and it didn't break it so I'm slowly updating things. but updating my facebook app sent it all out of wack now I get weird connection messages all the time :s
I have tried a battery pull but I didn't get the option, It's not in my bbm contacts anymore it's just in that drop down list where you see like birthdays and such XD

It sounds like you are where you need/want to be. As long as you're not being pestered is all that matters.
It seems that the user is in your "ignored contacts" list found in the options panel.
You will only see that panel when someone is actually added there. That's all that is needed. This is great!
As far as updating your other applications you can do so at your own pace and how you feel comfortable.
The newer versions of AppWorld are requiring that BlackBerry Identity (BBID) update to operate better, so no harm in doing so.
BTW.. Welcome to the forums!
