Setting up email without Enterprise?
Hi,
I just bought an unlocked BB9900 and did a wipe.
When I try to set up my emails (I'd like to add my gmail and an outlook one), I get a screen asking me to get an Enterprise account.
I have no idea what this means and how I can get around it? The help section said something along the lines of I should get 2 options, 1 personal, 1 enterprise and if I get only the enterprise option I should contact IT - except I am a private person and therefore have no IT department?
Much appreciate your help in setting up email accounts! - 01-07-2012, 06:09 AM #2
You are getting that screen because you do not have an active BlackBerry Data Plan (BIS) for the device.
You need to contact your carrier/service provider and get the proper data plan and then you will get the personal email set up option.Thanked by:greggebhardt (01-07-2012)

No. You need a BlackBerry Data Plan.
