Restore BBM contacts to different phone?

I have a new BB. I plan to sync contacts/calendar from Outlook and reinstall all other apps afresh to keep the OS 'clean'.
How can I migrate only BBM contacts from my old phone without the rest of the settings?
Will restoring from SD card migrate the contacts or just create an additional contact on my friends phones (old PIN + new PIN)?

When you put in your BlackBerry ID it should sync it up. You can backup either by card or email. It's worked for me over numerous devices.

1) Where/when do I put in my BlackBerry ID?
2) Will my old PIN get automatically deleted in my friends' phones?

What phone do you have? You can go through Settings to set the BlackBerry ID.

Thanks, found it under Options -> Third Party Applications.
Using a 9360 BTW.

Are you talking about the "Old pin"? If so..then yes..Mine always has updated. Course...I haven't been on the receiving end. But I believe it changes.

Yes, if you have a new device PIN and restore your BBM contacts, RIM's service will modify your contact record on your freind's devices so that it is showing the new PIN. It is seamless if you restore your BBM contacts. I use the email back up method.

So if you get a new bb, and you enter your balckberry id onto it, you get All your contacts back from your old bb, and you get a new pin, wont you have to request all your contacts back again?

I have a similar problem - I gave my Torch (9800) to another user with a 9320 but he cannot change the Blackberry ID on the phone and therefore cannot access BBM. Whenever he tries to change something, it changes on my phone (9900) as well. We have tried to switch the device but the Torch does not work on the latest Appworld and we had to delete and reinstall an earlier version, still BBM is not accessible.
