This is a resurfacing of a problem I used to have last year on a different model and carrier, and I can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it.
I can send and receive photos via email and MMS, but not through any messenger (BBM, Yahoo, Windows Live, etc). Last time it was happening it also affected MMS too, so I'm not entirely sure if it's device related or network. Symptoms are when a contact clicks to receive the transfer immediately cancels, and same in reverse if they're sending to me. Neither side gets any size warnings so I know that's not the issue. Also, dame photos can be emailed or sent MMS.
Might try a wipe/reinstall, however I think it's more likely a simple fix - when I did it before I didn't even know how to wipe and reinstall a BB OS and was able to resolve it.
Damned if I can remember how though.
