iv changed my settings to -Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster: NEVER

this works for text messages but when i recieve a blackberry message it opens automatically

any ideas as to how to stop this?

I couldn't find an option to stop this either.

The only work around was set it to:
Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster: After Sound or Vibration

I had that too.. Its not a total fix, sometimes Facebook still loads... but try setting the phone to lock itself when putting into the holster.

I noticed this was automatic on my curve 8900, but it wasnt set on my bold 9700.

Go into messages and then go to options --> general options scroll down to auto open new messages and select never and that should work for you.

I'm having that same issue and it is still opening my bbm and facebook message automatically. It only worked for sms txt msgs and emails. Any other workarounds?

There's not really a fix. If you're in the habit of reaching for your phone immediately after receiving a notification, it will always auto-open bbm and facebook. I've been observing this for quite some time.

I don't think that there's a fix - from what I've read around here, it's not a setting issue. It's just something that happens when you unholster too quickly after a message comes in...

It's a bit of a swine, but I can cope with it.
