phone opening new messages when pulled out of holster
iv changed my settings to -Auto Open Newest Message After Removing Device From Holster: NEVER
this works for text messages but when i recieve a blackberry message it opens automatically
any ideas as to how to stop this?

I had that too.. Its not a total fix, sometimes Facebook still loads... but try setting the phone to lock itself when putting into the holster.
I noticed this was automatic on my curve 8900, but it wasnt set on my bold 9700. - 01-17-2010, 05:20 AM #6
Go into messages and then go to options --> general options scroll down to auto open new messages and select never and that should work for you.

There's not really a fix. If you're in the habit of reaching for your phone immediately after receiving a notification, it will always auto-open bbm and facebook. I've been observing this for quite some time.

I pick the magnet out of all my holsters...that stopped it
