no bbm "new message" icon
my wife has a 8330. this morning she noticed when she'd get a new message on bbm, the little red star would not show up. she's done a battery pull with no change. any ideas?

this happen to messages sometimes. to clear it, connect the BB to the Desktop Manager > Go to Back Up and Restore> select Advance> scroll down to BlackBerry messenger and delete/clear messages, and that icon will be remove (make sure your deleting the messages & not contact)

thanks but you may have misread the problem. the red star does not show up. it is not there when she gets a message.

I would try uninstalling BBM and then reinstalling it.
