LOL this is hilarious, The Boys over at collegehumor.com who are participating in the BlackBerry Challenge Council made a video with RIM promoting BBM Music, and it gave me a good laugh. Check it out

I actually think the video is pretty funny, a lot better then RIM's "be bold" commercials.

It's also a lot better then "with a screen like this...you need to buy the new ipad"

I didn't think it was funny at all. Actually, thats a lie. What I found funny was the fact that some people think a smartphone (the BB) can't play music. This is 2012, almost everything plays music.

Instead of just showing people the devices plays music, they should have showed people how to get the music on the device and then play it. These same people who think BBs can't play music, probably don't even know how to load it onto the device.

its wasn't a traditional commercial meant for TV, its a video as part of the BlackBerry Challenge Council series.

And you'd be surprised, there are a lot of people who think BB's just do email and nothing else.

But I guess RIM just cant win huh? There is always going to be something to complain about. Guess you cant please everyone.

When you put it in proper context, that it's just a video for the BBM challenge then it's funny. It's not a freakin commercial

That's the way the world works. There is always something to complain about.

However, I do like how they are trying to use humor to stop the misinformation. I like this approach (even though it is not a commercial or anything) much better than their "tools not toys" campaign. That makes it sound like BBs are only able to get work done and absolutely nothing else. To the majority of consumers that spells out "boring device".

The humor at least will show that RIM is just serious business only. I highly doubt many business men go out blasting music and disturbing the elderly. At least I hope they don't.
