Getting rid of BBM post upgrade to .714
Apologies if already covered but I could not find it. I installed .714 (TMo) OTA and all went fine. However, I now show BBM as an "active" app. I cannot remove this "core" app via Options>Apps nor via DM. I know I did not have it while running the prior official OS and cannot remember whether I had taken any steps to remove it back then.
Can anyone please tell me how to remove it, I never use BBM.
Many thanks.

You need to reinstall it from appworld or from blackberry.com/bbm (from your mobile browser). It will then add it to your add-on apps and you should be able to uninstall it then.

Thanks 3.14159....
Given that it is already installed as core, are you sure that would work? Have you (or any one ) done it?? But maybe like chicken soup to the dead, it cannot hurt.
Many thanks.

Well I know it will move it from the core to the add-on for sure, and I'm pretty sure it will let you uninstall it after its in add-on.
