Can't find BBM feature--taking pics of pin barcode
Unless I've lost my mind, I could have sworn I was told that one can get a pin by using the camera to take a pic of someone's pin barcode that shows on their screen but I can't find the option.
I even found a forum that shows barcodes within their messages. How do we generate a barcode and how do we access someone's BB barcode??
here's the forum thread Share you pin/barcode - Page 4Dave - Moto Bionic - 11-02-2009, 11:32 AM #2
go into your BBM and select your profiles and scroll to the bottom and select "display my barcode" save it and post it to photobucket it or whatever image hosting site you use. you can then post it on the fourms.
in order to get someone elses BB barcode they will have to have it posted some where and you can scan it.

Make sure you have bbm 5.0 if you aren't running the newest version you won't have the option.

Yes, I have 4.7
Is 5.0 a mixed bag or is it a wise idea to install that version?Dave - Moto Bionic - 11-02-2009, 11:45 AM

I don't like 5.0 as much.
The way it handles receiving files is a major step back in my opinion.
And sometimes I get that bug were I can't see what I'm typing...

rebooting phone now, will give it a try in a few minutes and see if there's any obvious immediate issues.
