Blackberry Messenger chatrooms

Is there a such thing as a Blackberry Messenger chatroom? If not that would be really cool!

there is an option for "invite to conference" never used it before so don't know if that is what it does, or if it just sends a calendar invite.

Invite to conference can add other people from your BBM contact list to the existing conversation.

I have heard of people doing this on through bbm. But no one has ever invited me...

well that can sorta work like a chatroom, if you want to have a handful of people in the same conversation.

Use it all the time you can invite as many people as you want but can't kick anyone out. They face to leave.

I think there is no such thing as chat-room in bbm, like in Yahoo messenger

Its already available. Just start a conversation then do the 'Invite to Conference' option

lol are you guys serious? So much misinformation in here. Yes, It can be done. It's been done for years now. Like some others have said just click invite to conference and invite as many people as you want.

I just tested this out and I have about 5 people on and its the bomb...This is my second BB and I didnt know that this option was here....

chat rooms usually consist of people that you would normally not chat with.

The "conference" is basically used for all the people from your contacts. It would be awesome if there was a way to connect even w/ people you didn't know as in a chat room.

In school, I invite all of my friend's whom own blackberries to a conference room on the bbm chat and we be foolin'

You can do it even better if you create a bbm group, that's what my team uses and it's way easier than having to invite several people to a conference whenever we wanna chat. Whenever you go to the group, everyone is already there.

I have to agree I think a chat room concept in messenger would be a awesome idea. Maybe someone should start a chat thread in the pin sharing forum and just see where it goes?

Wow! Its called a group and there's a whole section of cb just for it. Its a chatroom with a limit of 30 people

For those on topic - yes you can create and join bbm groups. I have several groups with different developers so we can work together on BB10 projects as well as several with folks from work for emergencies.

Handy.
