Blackberry Messenger after OS upgrade

Ever since I upgraded the OS to 5.0 I haven't been able to send my location in messenger. Keeps giving me error message saying "Unable to retrieve location". It doesn't matter where I am because I was thinking perhaps I was in a bad area. Anyone have this problem and know a fix?

its broken. a couple threads on this and i dont think i have seen any way to fix it

I believe this was a known issue with the release of the upgrade and the OS 5.0. I do not recall reading a fix for that, but could be wrong. It is one of many known issues, like the pic transfer sadly no fix yet.

I've been able to send files through BBM fine, but like the other said I haven't seen the location thing work properly either.

Some people haven't been able to send pictures through BBM, everyone isn't having the issue but the problem is still present for some.

Oh ok. Hopefully they'll find a fix for it. I wonder if Storm 2 users can send their location through BBM?

I don't know what happened...I recently upgraded to the 5.0.0.328 version and the messenger icon disappeared. After two reinstalls and multiple battery pulls, it still says it is installed, yet doesn't show anywhere.....it's not hidden, i've looked everywhere.....any ideas????
