    Default BBM and Wikitude

    Hello all,

I have the 9900 on Bell, I have Wikitude installed and when I open it, it says Connecting to BBM "Server is unavailable. Unable to proceed with BBM connection. Please try again later."

I can use all the features including viewing other BBM contacts, I just cant communicate with them.

I go into Wikitude options and BBM service status says "disconnected"

If I click on it, it reads "To change the BBM Service connection status please switch to the BBM messenger application, set the desired state in BBM Options > BBM Connected Applications and restart Wikitude."

Well I went to my BBM options and under BBM connected applications, click on application access and Wikitude is permitted to be "connected".

I just cant figure out how to get it to work.

    1) Anyone first off have their BBM connected in Wikitude?

    2) Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I have tried changing the settings, restarting phone, nothing seems to work.

    Thanks

    Download and Install Wikitude

Open up BBM and go to Options>BBM Connected Applications>>Application Access [Edit]

Your BBM access list should apppear, if Wikitude is not present, then add it. Once you have done that, you should reboot your phone or restart Wikitude. It shoould be working.

If you cannot add Wikitude to your BBM appps list, then delete Wikitude and reinstall, and upon installation Wiki will prompt you to Connect the two.

I have already done all that, it is showing in the bbm access list, I have rebooted phone but still does not work. Shows the same message in my initial post.

Im gonna try to uninstall and re-install wikitude now and see if that works. I'll report back with results.

Well I've just uninstalled Wikitude, re-installed, rebooted phone and still does not work.

Still get the message Connecting to BBM "Server is unavailable. Unable to proceed with BBM connection. Please try again later."

And all the settings and permissions are correct in BBM.

I searched all over the net and couldn't find anything about this....looks like I'm the only one with the problem!!

Hardly, as they are others reporting the same issue you are having.

In Wikitude Options, under BBM Settings you have [All Other BBM Users can see you] set to [Public]

[BBM service status] set to [Connected]

    Ok.....figured it out.

It wasnt the settings, they were perfectly fine and it wasnt the wikitude program.

All I did was re-install BBM and it is now working.

It was not even an upgrade, just a re-install with the same version number.

Settings remained the same for bbm and wikitude but it now connects.

    Thanks Oniberry for your help.

Options - Device - Applications management

Find bbm, delete. Don't forget to back up first. Then find it again in apps world and download
