bbm not working

hello. i have a blackberry 8520 and everything was working fine before i got desubscribed from bis due to no credits but a few days later i resubscribed to bis and everything like email, internet is working apart from bbm. the problem is that i can invite people onto bbm but a few of them have said that they have accepted my invite but as soon as they have done that, my pin disappears from their list. i rang vodafone and told them about it and i went through all of their procedures but nothing seems to work. is there like a setting for bbm that i am missing from my bb. any ideas??
