if there's no clearcut REASON to upgrade what's the point? if someone knows of a defect it fixes, or if it's faster or slicker, by all means, SHARE THE INFO. otherwise, it's a big "MEH" for me.

Something related to the QR code and probably more that we can't see yet. I doubt they release higher versions just because. It's probably related to their FB campaign. I downloaded and not a difference so far

Haven't noticed any major changes I can see just yet. I would say it is faster as in more responsive to typing and delivery.

I've installed it earlier from BBH.
I have to say, I do like a leak or two Matt
Not noticed anything different yet, Joined a group and still very laggy.
I'm sure after a while we'll find out what changes have been made.Yahoo IM: MaxdMerc@yahoo.co.uk

I think the biggest changes are back end, server-side changes that we will not see. Maybe after the BIS 3.0 upgrade, we might see a lot of performance enhancements as far as data transfers may go.
You can't reason a person out of an opinion he didn't reason himself into.

Seems to cause reboots, multi-clicks, changes default ringtone... You should avoid it. Or you could install it and see for yourself if you don't like it you can put back the current official release. All you would have wasted was 10 minutes.

I have not seen any of these glitches but I also have not seen any improvement. No change at all for me.

I haven't seen any of the glitches either. Seems to be a bit faster. If it does start causing problems, like someone said, I'll just un-install and go back to the official.
