BBM - Inactive Users Message?
I received a message from one of my BBM buddies with a message that read:
Hello, greetings from RIM (Research In Motion) proprietors of BlackBerry. This message is to inform all of our users, that our servers have recently been really full, so we are asking for your help to fix this problem. We need our active users to re-send this message to everyone on your contact list inorder to confirm our active users that use BlackBerry Messenger, if you do not send this message to all your BlackBerry Messenger contacts then your account will remain inactive with the consequence of losing all your contacts.
We apologize for the inconvenience but this is the only way possible to resolve this problem. Sincerely Research in Motion. For more information visit:

I just Bcast a message cussing out all who forwarded it to me. Highly annoying.
Device history: 8100 > 8320 > 9000 (brief) > 9530 (Ugh!) & 8900 > 8220 > 8120 > 8520 > 9550
> 9000 > 9700 9650

There is nothing more annoying than a message in the middle of the night, and you think it might be an emergency, and it's some stupid "Hai, I'm bord, sum1 talk??/?" broadcast.
Delete, ignore all future contact, kick their puppy.

People still forwarding Spam in 2010. It's a naive world

Do you normally enter links from spam into your browser? NOT a good practice.
Best bet, stop and think why you haven't heard anything about this, instead of a knee **** reaction to do as instructed. Read the forums to see if others have experienced it. Check the front page here to see if we have blogged about it, etc.Twitter @michaelwpg
