    Default BBM 5.0 sending/recieving fix!

    Hi Guys,

Like a lot of you guys, I've been having problems with a delay in sending and receiving BBM since upgrading to the new 5.0. I have 3 blackberry's, a Tour and Storm on Verizon and a Curve on Sprint. I upgraded all of them to the new BBM5.0 and the Verizon one's we're having a problem but my Sprint one wasn't.

So I thought about it and the only thing i did different was i upgraded the sprint blackberry and registered it again using the host routing tables. I decided to do that with my 2 Verizon BB and what do you know all the msg starting to work again instantly. I've been sending BBM to myself for the past 10 minutes and also to my friends in Europe to see if it is workign again and they are all getting it fine. So basically go to OPTIONS-ADVANCED OPTIONS-HOST ROUTING TABLE then click on the menu button (left of trackball) and click on register now. You should get a email into your msg box then you know it worked fine.

It worked for me so hopefully it works for you guys!

try the host table, then send service books then battery pull.

Done this on my 8900 and the wifes 8120 and both now recieving bbms.

i had the same delay when i installed with the OTA download. so i just deleted that one & just used the .zip files & use the apploader not the DM.
just replace the .cod files in the java folder. i didnt use the .alx file just the .cod. ever since i did that i havent had anymore issues. not saying it will work for everyone but it worked for me. you can also use Crackutil to replace the .cod files

edit: also the only files i used was "net_rim_bb_qm_peer & net_rim_bb_qm_peer_resource_en"

go to OPTIONS-ADVANCED OPTIONS-HOST ROUTING TABLE then click on the menu button (left of trackball) or on Storm the second button from left, and click on register now. You should get a email into your msg box then you know it worked fine.

seems like there might have been an issue with the BIS. i did host routing tables, service books, battery pull, and called *228 and it didn't fully fix it. seems fine now though. when i was having issues earlier one of my friends couldn't send email over the BIS. hopefully it is fixed i was afraid i was going to have to roll back to the old bbm.

I agree it seems to be working much better now then it was this afternoon so maybe it was a BIS issue.... At least I hope so.

registering HRT doesn't work for everone. service books won't help either. *228 has nothing to do with BBM or any RIM services, battery pull might if your radio connection is having a hiccup.

for me it seems to be an evening thing, from around like 4pm until like after 11pm ( i fell asleep around 11 the last two days) the BBM refreshes and sends all messages after that point, and i wake up to responses.

the one thing i'd like to know is why do people show "contact unavailable" and we're still chatting, but the red "X" doesn't go away?
