BBM 5.0 with .297

Well after I installed .297 I lost BBM 5.0 like many people. I tried to do the ota's and kept saying invalid COD. I did re-download the zip file and I am currently waiting to see if the update worked.

Ok I got it working thank you, I love this BBM. If updating the normal way or the ota's do not work do what the above thread says to do. It works great. Just make sure you do a copy and paste not a cut and paste.

I could not get the DM install working for BBM5, it kept saying that the program is not work with my software (or something like that). Tried the OTA link and it finally worked!!!!! So far so good, I am loving BBM5.0!

what is the email all about? I think I read where someone info was stolen through BBM 5.0.

I just OTA d/l .297 about two hours ago and just finished d/l'ing BBM 5.0 a few minutes ago.

I used the For 4.6.0 .jad link and it worked fine. It'll ask if you want to replace the already existing and just choose YES (twice, evidently). Reboot and I was fine. It even kept all my contacts in order.

it works great now!

once u download the "jad" file what do you do after that???

Ed I had the same problem. Read the first link and you will fix it. Trust me that is what I had to do.

Not making fun of you, but ... That's funny

Seriously, you MUST use your BB browser to download the .jad file. It will then prompt you to allow the install. Thats what the OTA is referring to wherever you found the link to the file.

I just can't get 5.0 to show in my app listr on DM. Oh well. I'll live.

On the first post they talk about copying and pasting the cod files along with the alx file. That is what I had to do. Simple intructions.

I did. Took all the files and put them in the java folder and it still doesn't pop up as an option in the App Loader.

I swear I am not an *****! ha ha.
