I just started using a new 8900 Curve that I bought unlocked from amazon.com. For some reason when I add contacts that do not use my same carrier/provider (Orange) they stay as 'pending' even when they have accepted my request to add the to my contacts. I tried switching my sim card to another 8900 with the exact same carrier and it worked properly.
I also, uninstalled bb messenger and reinstalled it using the desktop manager...I even did the 'Wipe handheld' thing and it does not work.
There is something wrong with the blackberry and I do not seem to understand what's happening. HELPPPPPP

ive noticed some issues here and there where pending contacts get stuck. usually, i found for me, its only when i add verizon users. i normally just delete and re-add them. also, ive seen where people accepted my request, show in my contacts list, but it still says "awaiting authorization" under their name. a simple battery pull corrected that.
