hi my bb doesnt give me the option to save my bbm contacts locally or remotely anymore. it used to before but after i updated the messenger to the new one the option has disappeared from the options menu. also when i do a backup i get the message all data was not backed up. bbm conversations and blackberry messenger. is there a way to back up my contacts?

They're now backed up on the RIM servers. There is no other backup.

Bbm contacts are now backed up automatically by your bbid. As soon as you add a contact it will be saved and you don't have to do ANYTHING . Not sure how this works with conversations but at least you won't lose your contacts.
