Default since downloading BBM 5.0.. hows your battey life now been for u?

how you doing everyone? gotta question for ya...

for the people that downloaded the BBM 5.0 does anyone notice it eats your battery up a lot more then bbm 4.7? on average since installing BBM 5.0 I loose 3 hours more per day VS 4.7 BBM on normal everyday use with nothing running in the backround besides the normal apps that don't close.

anyone else like this with bbm 5.0?

I honestly haven't noticed a difference at all. Then again, I don't actively use BBM on a daily basis, which could be why. I also shut it down completely before I exit out of it.

You can't shut down bbm. It always stays open. I don't really use the new bbm but I average 3 hours less per day with the new one. Ill downgrade back to bbm 4.7 and see what happens tomorrow

i think ima just wait till official release so that all bugs, etc are worked out. there must be a reason why they havent officially released it yet, so ima play it safe.

You do know that just like the OS, there is no difference between some of the beta ones and the offical ones right. Don't think just because its official, its bug free and vice versa.

Oh no, if VZW doesn't throw the holy water on it, and wrap it in bacon before sending it out for download, its not good enough.

I can't see battery life being any different, both versions run all the time, so I can't see any sort of additional drain.

i have noticed no change in battery life, i was concerned about this too. Everything has been working and draining the same amount of battery as before i installed BBM 5.0.

Same here, no diff in the battery..

This is one app that RIM can definitely say was an improvement w/ the new version.
