no email/BBM/Data reception. can send but not receive

I deleted Shazam application and then had lost data services on the EDGE network. All was fine on a WiFi connection. I read here that could be a problem when deleting Shazam

I wiped device with crack util. worked fine
reloaded OS 4.6...231 (what I was using before wipe), also fine

restored backup data, also fine

Now I can:
send emails
send BB Messenger requests
use the web browser

I cannot receive emails nor receive BB Messenger messages


help! any suggestions. I've been working on this for hours
