Default Latest App World upgrade is slow slow slow

So the new App World update (3.1.0.56) came out yesterday, and I dutifully installed it. Since then, it has been extremely slow. This slowness manifests both when navigating within the app itself (such as when displaying info about an app) and also when downloading apps.

It seems especially ironic that downloading has slowed so much, since this update supposedly introduced wifi support -- and I thought that the previous version already had wifi support. Regardless, it's now so slow that I've been forced to reboot my 9550 to see if that improved performance.

Am I the only one seeing this behavior? I don't think i have a backup with the previous version in it, so reverting may not be possible for me.

Its working great on my phone (9650 6.0.0.706), NO problems plus faster all around performance. Delete and reinstall and see if that works

If nothing works, check rroyy.com/ota . The previous version of App World is most likely still available there.

Default Slooooow

Gotta say - still really slow here too, and been that way for months, through multiple updates... Using BB9780 with latest OS.

Ever since they released the "new" app-world, I've noticed its very slow. I'm on a 9800, but the old version of app world is super fast, so, who knows.

New verion is slow for me as well.. It'd get stuck 'loading' with no way to exit out of it except pulling the battery or killing the process through the eScreen.

I have version 2.1.2.19 installed and it works nice and fast. I personally prefer the GUI on this version.

Here's a link to a RARchive with all the .cod files, if anyone's interested:

Default BB 9700 OS 6 w new Apps locked to desktop

The App World upgrade completed, restarted Win7 Ultimate, with BB 9700 OS 6 connecetd. It went into "Synchronizing BlackBerry Bold 9700. Do not disconnect." mode. 3 hours later it was still 'progressing', so I chose 'cancel'. It has been locked into 'cancelling' for 10 hours.

If I kill the process, will the Bold be hosed?
