HELP! BBM won't work properly for Curve 9300.

I really need help with this. My BBM will open and I can usually send messages but sometimes it takes forever to send them or I don't get a reply at all, I am not getting any status updates when I usually do often. I recently upgraded my BBM to the latest version. Is that something to do with it. I have done a battery pull and it helped a little bit, I can send messages quicker but still I'm worried. What's wrong?

a few people have reported some small bbm issues today.
maybe they are doing maintenance?

Thanks, I was wondering if it could be that. I also haven't recieved any replies or social feeds at all. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled but nothing much has happened. I'm hoping it's just that. Thank you.
