Default Cannot change Email Read reciepts, no option in Email Settings

Hi



Im new to BB and i cannot find how to turn the above off???

I have a BB Bold 9700 on v5.0.0.593

and in my inbox i have the messages from contacts plus everytimg i send one i get a new message with the symbol of a tick? i assume these are read reciepts but i do not want them!


If I go into options in the mail folder then to Email settings there is no option to turn off? (as suggested by others on here?

The tick just confirms the message has been sent not a read receipt. Open mail press menu and options and under email preferences read receipts should be off by default.
