Default Blackberry Messenger 5.0
I have loaded backberry messenger 5.0 onto my blackberry curve 8330.. using OS .169... When I click the icon it doesnt go into messenger... what am I doing wrong please help!

Did it work after installing, and now it won't work? Or did you have this problem right after installing it?

Did the install through desktop manager. Once loaded on the phone it wouldnt open

If you have a backup of your BB, delete the BBM 5 app either using DM or through Options, Advanced Options, Applications, highlight BBM and press Menu, Delete. Yes to Reset Device.

Then download lyricidal's file here:

There is a BBM 5 folder in there with all the files for BBM 5.

Copy the files into the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared Files\Loader Files\OS Folder\Java folder. Then load them to your BB by double-clicking on loader.exe in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader.
