BBM Contact Change Help!! Much appreciated

Hello,

What does it mean when an existing contact you previously had disappears from your contact list but their chat history still remains and you still receive Status updates in recent updates? The person chat is still there but not on contact list, and when type the name in find contact and select it says "Invite as Contact" and if i select the contact option the only optino available is "Pin x". I Was wondering if this means i was deleted or if its some sort of bug problem on the other side. The only reason i havent assumed it being a deletion even though it appears to be the case, is because when i have deleted someone or been deleted in the past the chat automatically dissapears along with the name in the list while the option to reinvite or the update changes are not available.
