BBM 6.1 not working on beta OS 7.1

Since downloading the OS 7.1 to beta test it for T-Mobile BBM 6.1 only works sporadically at best. Sometimes it works on a wifi network, 4G, or Edge networks and other times it doesn't. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to whether it works or not.

I am always able to receive BBMs. However, when I send BBMs 9 times out of 10 I get a red clock icon that doesn't go away, and my message never goes through.

I have tried reinstalling BBM, resending service books and the host table info, force restarting (left alt + right cap + del) and it only seems to resolve the problem for a few minutes if at all.

Can anyone offer any suggestions or have any idea why it suddenly stopped working when I downloaded OS 7.1? I've reported the issue on the beta zone discussion board, but apparently I am the only one having this issue and the moderator hasn't responded.
