BBM 4.7 in New Curve 8530?

Just got my BM a brand new Curve 8530 and I was surprised when I opened up the BBM and it was ready for an upgrade. I checked what ver. it was and it was 4.7. I was pretty surprised, I mean, after all it is running a 5.0 OS. I upgraded to .33, but can anyone explain why this is?

Not sure why but I think this is standard. Mine came with BBM 4.7 as well. I just upgraded to the 5.0.0.54 leak that was posted on crackberry a few days ago.

My womans came with 4.7 as well, first thing I did was upgrade it to 5.0..

I just got my Curve 8530 a week ago yesterday and I love it. Its a lot better than the Curve 8330. Mine came with 4.7 but I upgraded to the newest one. I don't see a huge difference but I like the little things, that I see are different, a lot better.
