Default Renaming video titles?

After I copied a few movies to my blackberry, I noticed that they all were appended by *.avi.MP4 from the conversion process, which the video program picked up. I renamed the videos, but they still show the extensions hen you tru to select from the video program.
Help?

You can either try removing the battery with the phone ON for about 40 seconds. Or if you want, using Windows' Explorer and showing all files including hidden and system, search for and erase bbthumb.dat files - they are index files of media. If erased they will be rebuilt and should reflect the name changes you made.
