Downloaded The Hangover. I was able to get it to play on my desktop, but got an error message when trying to play on BB.

Do I need to change the file name or anything like that?

no all my movies are in mp4 format and i have a curve as well it should befine ?

Since I'm just learning the finer points of movie conversion for viewing on my BB, I can't explain why it didn't work. I was directed to a copy of Borat in another thread (by Hood123) and downloaded that and that was the first d-load I got that did work.

So maybe the resolution settings were slightly different or something?

as i said it in an mp4 format resolution is 352x240, 20 frames per second, 512 bitrate, audio looks like mono channel 128 kps, 32000hz you might pull borat off on your computer and look at it and c what the specs are on it

ps that guy hood 123 ownes a website that i hack for as well (so he knows his stuff) Blackberryreadyvids its a great site!!! u get a min u might go check it out do me a favor on the message board drop him a line letting him know were you get the site name from

i no more than posted this and seen this about verizion ill give u the link http://forums.crackberry.com/f66/con...hout-bb-42647/ and copy and paste what i was reading on it From what I understand, Verizon changed how videos get encoded and what types can be played back on their devices.. so that's why you have to use the BB Manager and why the other methods people use on here and the other third party apps don't work for us. However, I have figured out a way to do it for Verizon devices just using one tool and not needing your device connected. Once I get some time and make some screenshots and figure out how to post images on here, I'll try to put up a guide.

Hi ZD, thanks for your response. What program are you using to view the specs of the file?

I already did check out Blackberryreadyvids.com, and got a few titles, but unfortunately they didn't work either...so I'm trying to determine what files on that site are in 320x240.

i use avs to set the parameters on my movies and all of them are rendered at 320x240 did u get the link that i left about Verizon and the movies being coded difffor them?

bakerboy pls come back and post on jaws i seeur on verizion as well and i have not had time to sit and watch it all the way yet so i guess ur my beta tester lol hope everyone enjoys the shows

I checked the site, still no sign of the movie, but it does have a lot of good movies that i couldnt find on these forums. Thx anyway
