Default movies on the blackberry
is it possible to play .avi movies on the blackberry. how is the qaulity and is it hard on the battery ?

after coming from the iphone its something i really miss.

You will have to convert those files. Use the Roxio media manager through DM. It will convert the videos for you and they should play just fine.
