    Unhappy Blackberry Z10 with Mobilicity help activate DATA if possible.

    Hello everyone ,

    So I'm in a little bit of a predicament, I've read a few mixed reviews but no real specific details posted on "how to" on this..
    Here's my issue, I got the Blackberry Z10 originally from Rogers and I did get it unlocked.

    All the calling + text features work , just as I have read it would worked out .
    Although the one thing that didn't work was data , which obviously means I can make no use of BBM either .

    I can only access data through WiFi , I read one post somewhere saying if you de-activate BIS and enable yourself to have a normal data plan data should work.
    I did take the step to remove BIS off my phone through Mobilicity customer care, but even though they did remove it my data is still not working .

    Now my questions are...
    Has anyone successfully activated their data with Mobilicity on the Z10? If so, can you help me out and let me know what else needs to be done.

    I have heard about people having trouble with mobi on z10. My suggestion would be to switch to wind, almost same price but i think better service

    As much as I hate to say this i think that the Z10 may not be the right device for you right now. The reason why you are not getting data is because Mobilicity SIM is not feeding the right APN settings to your device. BlackBerry stupidly decided that it is a good idea to allow carriers to lock the APN settings to the SIM even on unlocked devices. This unfortunately means that if your provider does not have the correct SIM provisioning with the correct APN you will not be able to get data service.

    I've tried a Z10 on Mobilicity and the APN always defaults to bb.davewireless.com. I've tried changing it to wap.davewireless.com but it will not save and always defaults back to the other one. I also called customer service to ask them to change my APN on my SIM but they didn't know how to do it. I'm not sure if that is even possible?

    Call your wireless carrier and ask to be escalated to BlackBerry Technical Support so you avoid paying a fee.

    So I am having the same issue. Beyond stupid technical support at Mobilicity. Anyone figure out how to fix this yet? Or do i have to return my phone to koodo?

    Ah... Thanks everyone, well if it is the same issue with the last Bold that was out... I need to swap with a Wind mobile carrier or a Mobilicity carrier when they come out with them.
    So if anyone is willing to swap if they get one from either carrier and data is working, I'm up for that, mine already will have a screen protector, and it is the White Z10

    I had the same problem and I got the $5 bis and it started working instantly. If it still doesn't work call blackberry at 8772552377

    When call press 4 when it starts asking for which support you want. Then press 4 again. No need to get incident based support. This is free

    Yes, until Mobilicity officially offered the Z10, you had to purchase the $5 BB data add-on. That was intentional and deliberate. They told me so when I asked about using an unlocked Wind Z10 on Mobilicity.
