Default Verizon, Curve, Tether, and a Mac

I've got a pretty bizarre question. I have a MacBook Pro. I know Verizon's connect software does not work with OSX. I have Windows 7 installed via bootcamp and that has worked fine. Last night I tried the OSX/Bluetooth tethering route, and it worked, but every time I accessed a site, the generic "sign up for Verizon connect at $15" message would show up. I already signed up when I was logged into Windows. The message went away on Windows and I was able to access everything. Has anyone experienced this?
