Tethering with AT&T (why bother?)
So I've been trying to setup a tethering via bluetooth so I can stream music and browse the internet (doing homework) while at the beach but listening to stories of people getting hit with astronomical charges makes me wonder, why would you do it?
Having an iPhone 3G for 2 years (from 2008-2010), I used to go to the beach a lot to study and I would often video Skype via a hack (before iOS 3 came out) and get fast internet.
Now after all these data caps, I checked how much my data plan was before I setup the bluetooth tethering and I'm paying $15/Month for 200MB of data! 3-4 years ago, I was at unlimited for the SAME PRICE!
That being said, I'm pretty pissed at Carriers for this. The days of being free are now gone and I guess I'll just have to pre download my http pages before I go to the beach now |
