Default New Mac won't sync with Outlook 2011

I just got my first-ever Mac (iMac). I downloaded the Desktop Manager for Mac and attempted to set up my Calendar & Contacts to sync with Outlook 2011, but they don't show up in the list. Nothing shows up in the list so I cannot direct my BB what to sync with. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks in advance!

Office for Mac 2011 will only sync Address Book. Microsoft promise sync with calendar, notes and tasks by July 2011. Until then my copy of Office for Mac 2011 sits in a draw and I'm sticking with Entourage 2008.

BTW to sync smart phones with Office, Microsoft rely on Apple Sync Services. That means you sync with the Apple Address Book and iCal that in turn sync with Outlook/Entourage.

Thanks for your reply! My DM doesn't even want to sync with Outlook Address book or iCal. I get nothing listed for options. Any ideas? And how would I go about using the Apple Sync Services?

If you have had PocketMac installed it can stuff up the RIM software.

SyncServices is selected from the app that uses it, eg in Outlook/Entourage it's in Preferences.

Looks like the update is available for Office 2011 - says sync has been expanded to calendar, tasks, and notes! Downloading!

It is not a BlackBerry product. You need to download from Microsoft.

This isn't Desktop Manager you're talking about?

Sheri,
If you open Outlook and under the Help menu you will see Check for Updates.
Click on that and it will take you to what is being discussed.

Default Blackberry Desktop for Mac doesn't have sync confirmations

I have recently moved over to MacBook Pro after years of Windows. Surprised to find Outlook under Mac wouldn't sync with Blackberry, and therefore forced into getting Parallels and Windows; equally, I was delighted to find Microsoft shipped update early to allow synchronisation of Outlook under Snow Leopard.

Having downloaded Blackberry Desktop for Mac, I find it missing function compared to the Windows version eg cannot set to ensure confirmations required for updates. Also having trouble making it work consistently.

Anyone else having problems? Feels like I am at the bleeding edge, and I'm not enjoying the experience!:

I have Parallels and Windows, but I use my Mac to sync with Entourage and now Outlook 2011. It is important to activate the sync services. Tools / Sync Services. And then in Desktop Manager, choose "Entourage"

Default sync services errors?

I had major problems with sync service error messages, and had to turn them off whenever I didn't actually need them and back on only for the period of time that I performed the sync. Is this still an issue with the Snow Leopard/ 2011 combo?
