Default How do you move contact information from contacts to your Bold 9900?

Let's say you did not want to sync all your contact info from your Macbook Pro because say you had 800 contacts and you just wanted to move over say about 100 of them over. Is there a way one can copy/paste or export just the contacts they want to over to the Bold 9900 device via USB plug in to the XD card? If so, where would these need to go in order for them to be available in the phone's contact list?

On the Desktop application that one downloads from Blackberry I found no such option except to sync everything. what if one did not want to sync everything?

All or none. Those are the options.

Not good.. There has to be some other way to be able to move some of your contacts over. If they had an option to sync certain contacts via categories that would have been nice but since they don't there should be some way to at least move contact cards over.

  1. Export your Address Book as an Address Book Archive.
  2. Delete all the contacts you don't want transferred to the BB.
  3. Sync your BB with Desktop Manager.
  4. Restore your Address Book by double clicking on the Address Book Archive.

Personally I use a Yahoo account to sync Address Book and BB wirelessly.

What is the best way to do this?

In Address Book simply go to File > Export > Address Book Archive.
