Help, lost contacts etc

Ok, so I'm not a computer guru. My storm wasn't working well, lots of spinning clocks and not anwering calls, so I did the wipe. Big mistake. I lost all my contacts and calendar, but strangely kept photos. ? Anyhow, I hooked up to my missing sync and voila, trashed my email list on my computer and still have no phone contacts on my storm. What the heck? How can I restore my phone contacts and how can I restore my email list on my mac? This phone...... I hope you can help.
