Help have nuked 9700 and need to reinstall OS using a Mac

I just tried to download the new Vodafone OS this morning and it has nuked my phone and now I get a 507 error.
I use Macs have no access to a PC. Can someone tell me urgently how to get some software back on this please.

Best place for Mac questions is the Mac Users Forum... sorry, but that will get you answers quicker than waiting around the 8900 forum for Mac users.

You need to find a friend with a PC and try to be humble about the advantages of a MAC until you get the job DONE!

I reloaded an official OS onto my phone via mac bberry desktop manager.

How did you reload the OS though as it wont let you go to applications unless it detects the phone and it cannot detect the phone when it is nuked?

I took it in to my local Vodafone store and they tried to reload the software but couldnt so at first said it needed to go away for repair ... two hours later they rang up to offer me a swap out and I will be picking up a new 9700 tomorrow
