Cannot access App World on my device OR my Mac

Help! I am trying to upgrade a ton of my apps but continually get the message that "<app name> is not available in BlackBerry App World."

I found a fix for this at:

but here's the rub: I'm running Snow Leopard on my Mac Book and it seems the BlackBerry plug-in isn't supported for this OS. So now I cannot access App World on my device OR on my mac.

I would like to avoid paying the upgrade fee to use Parallels to do it there, if anyone knows of any way around this. Can someone help?
