can someone help with calendar backup problems?

I have bb desktop manager and when I try to sync, the changes I make on my desktop don't show up on the device, and the changes on the device don't show up on the desktop. the blackberry says it's connected, and the sync is completed according to the computer, but nothing seems to have happened when I check the calendar.

If at first you don't succeed.....thanks anyways, trial and error, right? I changed the usb port I was using and tried again, and the sync worked just the way it should.
