Default What are the benefits of a hybrid os

I always see people advertising they are running a hybrid on cb, but my question lies in my title what exactly are the reasons for having a hybrid, what benefits do these OS systems offer that a regular OS does not

Hybrids are designed to bring the best files of multiple os versions into one package to run on a bb. Sometimes the latest os might not have as good a radio file, so a hybrid brings the radio file from an earlier os into the total os. Sometimes the latest os might offer some files, like tabbed browsing, but there are features of the earlier os users want to keep, so the new browser files are merged into the earlier os, thus creating a hybrid.
