download the official Os to your computer and run program - after it installs, close it out and load the hybrid and run it. when it's done you will need to connect your phone to the computer an load from there

I advise you read the BB101 tutorials and become familiar with the process prior to playing with hybrids though (specifically - how to recover a nuked BB)
You should also familiarize yourself with the BBSAK and SAOS tools as they are extremely helpful with this process.

    Good luck!!

Ok but it says to install hybrid "over" 328. So when I run hybrid I store it at the same place 328 is at.

it replaces alot of the java files in .328, you don't have to point it anywhere. SAOS will pop up, check off what you want, run app loader, wait awhile, and you done. Hybrid is loaded and running, think of it what you will.

Shall I assume the Bluetooth quality is a radio file issue? Or is this version any better than straight 328 or the 328/348 hybrid.

Any real fixes? Memory leaks? To me these two OS leak pretty damn bad.

I also would like to know what Mark PPG asked above, and if one of the options on loading is not going to the threaded messaging on sms. That is one of the things I did not like with .328. I just want the regular sms messaging. One of the reasons is, the keyboard seems to have gone smaller with the adddition of the smiley button.

Loads a bit slower after reboot/bat. pull, but typing seems a bit more accurate.

I disagree. The battery life on this hybrid is the worst one. The battery life on 328/348 is the same as the stock OS 9530/5.0.0.328.

Been running this for a week or so. Seems stable, noticed some updated messaging icons from the .328. Memory leak is minimal. Shrunk out some junk and consistently boot in the mid 30's and have not dropped below 20 after install with no battery pull. Actually seems to recover memory periodically. I also have Ubertwitter and FaceBook app which hog memory and about 10 -15 other apps installed. Also have not seem the screen dim issue yet which was beginning to really bug me. No battery issue noticed

    best OS and Hybrid yet...............

I'm very pleased and thanks to the hybrid developers ,who I suspect will be providing enhancements to RIM Storm OS for a LONG time.

Ok I installed this yesterday with much excitement and anticipation, however so far I am not that happy. I had official .238 installed and was running just perfect for the past few weeks. But since installing this hybrid I noticed sluggish transitions when browsing through the menu and this morning my phone was completely shut down. Before going to bed I checked the battery in status and it was at 90% and now only after charging for 5 minutes just to be able to power on I am at 2%. I am not happy with how my battery has depleted from just an overnight of no phone calls and 4 bars of service in my area. The memory is stable but the battery usage is not working for me. I am going to give it until tonight and if the battery is drained again I will go back to the official release.

I am not trying to flame you here Ziggy, but you cut and pasted this exact response on Lyricidals Hybrid, http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/ly...89/index2.html post #22. It is misleading individuals and skewing the actual results that others might have. If a hybris treated your Storm wrong, definitely voice your opinion, the the odds that the exact same thing happened to your Storm, using two different Hybrids is zero.

    Default Screen Dimming Issue Resolved?????

Can anyone else confirm if this build fixed the screen dimming issue? If it did, it's the best news I have heard all month.
