Trying to Install lyricidal Hybrid After Wipe... Does not Detect Software

So I wiped my Storm and now I am trying to load lyricidal's hybrid. In the Application Loader Wizard I can connect to the device but it says under "Device Application Selection":

"The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the comptuer...."

Anyone know how I can get it to detect lyricidal's hybrid so I can install it?

I think it is because I don't have .148 installed on my computer. Trying that now.

I had this happen to me unfortunatly. I dont' have much of an answer for your situation but I have 4 pc's that all have a DM on it and most of them have the 5.0 except 1. So i took all the software for 151 and the hybrid and loaded it to that pc. It went through like a charm. So my only advice is to uninstall 5.0 dm and the 151 software from your pc. Then go to my computer, c drive, programs, common, and if you see a research in motion folder delete it. Finally install desktop manager 4.7 and start from scratch. If you have to download it get started 1st it takes a while. The DM will load the update to 5.0 later but don' t let it do it till you are done. If this doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah... I installed .148 and it detected software but only .148, not the beta. I do have DM5.0.

I don't really have time to do all that... Ohh well.

Paul you should have posted this in Lyr's hybrid thread so he and others can help you quicker. Whenever you have an issue regarding the hybrid it is best to post in that specific area to optimize your chances of getting assistance. This has come up before for several people

Just use apploader. DM is a real pain for upgrades. It has never failed me.

DM 5.0 really sucks for any type of leaks, especially hybrids. I suggest going back to 4.7 and definitely use Apploader, DM causes too many problems

Don't take using Apploader as a suggestion, USE APPLOADER. Especially if you're running Lyr's hybrids, the Apploader.exe should automatically be executed after you install the hybrid.

Then after the install, check in Options -> About to make sure your OS version number matches the reported number in the hybrid thread.

EDIT: If it's the .151 hybrid, then it should be v4.7.0.151 (Platform 4.0.0.186)

I had that problem in the app loader when downgrading from 5.0 to lyr's hybrid. I finally got it to work when I realized that I forgot to uninstall the 5.0 OS from my computer. After I uninstalled it, everything went smoothly.
