Default Poll - Battery life on OS 6.0.0.526 for the BlackBerry Torch 9800

First poll attempt - hope it works.

Batt life seemed to rock for me in the first 2 days. Seems to be heading downward since. How's yours?

Been about the same as before on .448. I have heard others report far better than mine. No complaints as I get through a full day without any effort.

I wouldn't say it has been long enough for mine to settle in. However, with the same apps as before, battery life appears pretty much the same. If I lay off extensive Bluetooth and don't GPS, looks like about 2-3% an hour.

Battery life is same with OS .448

My car got navigator on it, so should I disable GPS on Torch to save some juice or let it on?

I had great battery life on my torch until recently. I searched and fretted and finally just started playing with my phone and found the solution.

Open 'Options', go to 'Device', then 'Application Management', then scroll right to 'CPU'. It will tell you exactly what is running and the percentage of CPU power each app is using. Just close that app or apps properly and your battery will last longer than a cross-country drive with your overweight aunt Bertha.

for those with Battery draining issue, please make sure you don't have media card encryption enabled.

Go to Option->Device->Storage, and uncheck "enable compression". That have resolved my battery drain issue. I am now running 6.0.0.576 and a full charge always last at least one full day.
