Are the Official and the Leaked Versions "STILL" exactly the same?
The Official and the Leaked versions of a device OS were supposed to be exactly the same.
But has RIM recently changed that norm?
I initiate this debate only due to my recent experience with OS .480. Without going in to much detail, I would just like to mention that my experience with the Official version was far better than the Leaked Version. (In an approximately identical scenario & usage).
Has anybody else experienced this with any recent OS?

In general, if the package, bundle and software numbers are all the same (which they are in the case of .480), then there is no difference between the leaked and official OS builds.

There have been very few times where a leak and an official of the same package/platforms performed in different ways (as in, bug fixes, battery and the likes). I've only seen it happen once for the 8520 in over 20 months.
So just chill, relax, when something is different we will let you know. Just gotta keep following the thread related to the latest OS... - 03-24-2011, 12:21 PM
