Default Official 5.0 OS version?

5.01.2.68?
Or 5.0.1.268?

I seen the first one, but that just seems a little odd. So I think the bottom one I did will be more realistic.

5.0.1.268 looks more realistic because similar is the naming convention of the OS builds which RIM releases now and then. Although highly unlikely 5.01.2.68 cannot be ruled out.. they might have changed the platform naming convention. Here is what I think RIM follows.. something similar to what we follow in our company.

X.Y.Z.AAA

X - gets incremented if there is a design/architecture level change.
Y - gets incremented if new functionality is added on the same design.
Z - gets incremented if there are user interface/XML/property level changes
AAA - Bug fixes on the previous release

No I can't say what it will be. I can say that 5.0.0.xx has been seen on blogs before.

better off getting a newer phone than waiting for them to release this OS. Look how long it took for 4.5
